JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Evy Susanti, graft suspect and the wife of the Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho, confirmed to the press about a request from the Nasdem Party regarding a portion of the provincial administration’s working units (SKPD) after a settlement of dispute between the Governor and his second man in command Tengku Erry Nuradi at the Nasdem’s headquarters.
Evy, however, didn’t give details about how much SKPDs and which SKPDs asked by the Nasdem Party to be managed under its politician Tengku Erry Nuradi, who serves as the Vice Governor of North Sumatra.
Yesterday (Thursday), Evy and her husband were once again questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) investigators. They have been named as suspect in the case on October 15, 2015.
Evy and her husband are alleged for bribing Patrice Rio Capella, former Nasdem secretary general and another graft suspect in the case, with Rp200 million in as a fee for tampering the investigation from the Attorney General Office (AGO) and the High Prosecutor office (kejati) of North Sumatra on the embezzlement of the North Sumatra administration’s social funds.
KPK is now continue working on revealing the role of Nasdem officials in the case. At the heart of KPK’s investigation is the meeting between Gatot, Erry, senior lawyer Otto Cornelis (OC) Kaligis), and Nasdem officials at the Nasdem headquarters. The KPK has also earlier questioned Nasdem chairman Surya Paloh as a witness in the case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
