JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Standard Chartered Bank, Indonesian branch, booked profit after tax of Rp215.38 billion in first half of this year, dropped 58% from Rp518.89 billion in the same period of last year.

Net interest income declined to Rp1 trillion from previous Rp1.18 trillion. Net interest margin (NIM) was 4.3%. The bank booked interest income of Rp1.77 trillion.

Operating expenses, including interest charges, rose to Rp683.5 billion from Rp410.09 billion first half of 2012. The operating profit reached Rp317.43 billion, compared to Rp768.84 billion a year earlier.

The bank’s assets totaled Rp53.34 trillion of which credits amounted Rp29.62 trillion. Third party funds amountred Rp24.68 trillion.

The bank’s CAR was 15.9% while loan to deposit ratio (LDR) stood at 103.18%.
