JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Muhaimin Iskandar for examination session on Friday (Oct. 23) related to graft case that implicating Jamaluddien Malik, former Director General of Transmigration Area Development.
According to the acting head of the KPK’s public relation bureau Yuyuk Andriati, KPK will question Muhaimin as witness for Jamaluddien Malik, a suspect in the case, in his capacity as former Minister of Manpower & Transmigration.
Jamaluddien has been named as suspect in the case since February 2015. He is alleged for committing extortion during the period of 2013-2014.
Muhaimin, meanwhile, served as Minister of Manpower & Transmigration under Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) administration from 2009 to 2014. He is now Chairman of PKB, one of members of Jokowi-Kalla ruling coalition.
Back in October 2011, Muhaimin was examined by the KPK for 7 hours related to further investigation into another graft case of the disbursement of the Infrastructure Development Acceleration Program (PPID). (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
