Jakarta (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has once again summoned Patrice Rio Capella, graft suspect and former secretary general of Surya Paloh’s Nasdem Party, for examination session this morning (Oct. 23). This is KPK’s second call to Patrice.
Initially, KPK has scheduled to question Patrice on last Tuesday. But Patrice refused the call.
Patrice, otherwise, has filed a pre-trial petition to the Central Jakarta district court to challenge KPK’s decision on naming him graft suspect.
The Friday’s questioning will be the first questioning for Patrice as suspect in the case should Patrice answer the KPK’s call. Previously, he was questioned as witness.
Patrice, as reported earlier, has been named as suspect on October 15, 2015. He is alleged for receiving Rp200 million in bribe from the Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho and his wife as a fee for tampering the investigation on the embezzlement of the North Sumatra administration’s social funds.
KPK has also quizzed Patrice’s closest friend Fransisca Insani Rahesti for hours.(haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
