JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Former secretary general of Nasdem Party Patrice Rio Capella has refused the call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for examination session on Tuesday (Oct. 20), instead he submits a pre-trial petition against KPK’s decision on naming him as graft suspect.

Patrice’s lawyer Maqdir Ismail confirmed that his client has filed a pre-trial petition against the KPK to the Central Jakarta district court, Kompas.com reported.

Patrice, initially, is scheduled to be examined by the KPK this morning. According to KPK acting deputy chief Johan Budi SP, KPK will question Patrice as suspect in the case.

As reported earlier, Patrice has been named as suspect on October 15, 2015, in a bribery case developed from previous case that dragged down Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho. He is alleged for receiving Rp200 million in bribe from Gatot and his wife.

Yesterday, KPK has quizzed Patrice’s closest friend Fransisca Insani Rahesti for hours. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
