JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is expected to take the oath of Rear Admiral (ret) Willem Rampangilei as new Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) replacing Syamsul Maarif.
According to Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, the inauguration ceremony will take place at the State Palace Jakarta this afternoon (Sep. 7) at around 3:00 pm.
Born in Surabaya, East Java, on Sep. 9, 1955, Willem Rampangilei currently serves as deputy at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.
During his military career, he has ever served as head of information task force of the Timor Timur Military Emergency Commander. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
