JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 1.36% to 4356 at 10.12 am Jakarta time following regional markets.

Asian shares mostly recovered early Monday, as China’s Shanghai Composite reversed a brief negative open to soar 1.7 percent within 15 minutes after the market open, Cnbc.com reported.

Markets participants also nervously awaited the restart of Chinese financial markets following the long weekend, Reuters reported.

At Jakarta bourse, inverstors focused selling shares of state gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS). The stock then dropped 11.07% to Rp2485 per share.

Kalbe Farma also lost 3.58%, United Tractors fell 4%, Telkom declined 2.5%, Indofood shed 3.3%, XL Axiata slashed 3.2%, Charoen Pokphand lost 3.3%, and Astra International dropped 3.63%.
