JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.7% at 4433 Thursday (Sept. 3) but trade was volatile. The index moved at range of 4405-4446 during the day trading.
Asian stocks also gained after Wall Street rebounded from a sharp sell-off and as a holiday in China gave investors a break from its torrid markets, AP reported.
United Tractors jumped 9.18%, Eagle High Plantation surged 7.36%, Vale Indonesia lifted 9.85%, PTPP hiked 8.02%, Adhi Karya soared 12.95%, Wijaya Karya rose 5.86%, Pakuwon Jati gained 4.89%, Japfa Comfeed increased 4.55%, Charoen Pokphand advanced 3.45%, and Wakita Karya added 3.48%.
Nymex’s crude oil inched down 0.02% to US$46.25 per barrel and gold declined 0.14% to US$1,132 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp14,160 against the US dollar.
