JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors focused selling banking stocks this early morning trade along with the broader market sentiment.
Bank Central Asia fell 2.44% to Rp11975, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 2.83% to Rp9450, Bank Mandiri shed 3.16% to Rp8425, and Bank Negara Indonesia dropped 2.6% to Rp4305.
Panin Bank also dropped 6,54%, Bank Tabungan Negara slashed 4.59%, Bank Danamon declined 0.5%, and Bank Jabar lost 5.26%.
Year to date (August 20), Bank Mandiri has fallen 19.3%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 16.5%, and Bank Negara Indonesia fell 27.5%.
Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 1.8% to 4326, the lowest since January 6, 2015. IDX reached its peak at 5514 on March 2, 2015. Year to date, IDX has fallen 16.50%, ranked 13 among the global indices.
