JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Import of jewelries and diamond soared to US$207.3 million in July 2015, from US$6.1 million in previous month and jumped by more than threefold (384.31%) to US$425.8 million in January-July 2015 period.
In January-July 2014 period, import of jewelries and diamonds reached US$51 million. However, this goods only contributed 0.36% to total import of non oil and gas (US$68.63 billion).
Import of aircraft and its spare-parts also jumped 94% to US$153.6 million in July 2015 from US$58.9 million in June 2015. For January-July 2015 period, the import of this category surged 160.78% to US$425.8 million from US$332.5 million in the same period of 2014.
Meanwhile, export of jewelries and diamonds declined US$56.73 million in July 2015, from US$450.1 million in June 2015. For January-July 2015 period, export of this products rose 24.28% to US$3.63 billion from US$2.92 billion in the same period of 2014. Export of jewelries and diamonds contributed 4.63% to total export of non oil and gas (US$78.37 billion) for January-July 2015 period.
