JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama has dismissed Syamsuddin Noor from the position of Mayor of South Jakarta.
Governor Ahok then appointed Vice Mayor of South Jakarta Tri Kurniadi as the new Mayor of South Jakarta to replace Syamsuddin Noor. The Governor, quoted by Detik.com, said he will sworn in Tri Kurniadi this
week.
There is an ongoing development construction of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transportation (MRT) project in South Jakarta. Said construction is a part of the first phase of the MRT project that will connect Lebak
Bulus in South Jakarta to the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta.
