JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Regent of Bener Meriah (Aceh) Ruslan Abdul Gani as a graft suspect related to corruption case of the development of Sabang Port.

Acting KPK Deputy Chief Johan Budi SP revealed to the press on Tuesday (Aug. 4) afternoon regarding the KPK’s decision on naming Ruslan as suspect.

According to Johan, KPK has charged Rusli with Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) juncto Article 65 paragraph 1 of the KUHP.

Johan said the KPK estimated that the State has suffered Rp116 billion loses from the case. Previously, the case has dragged three other suspects, including Teuku Syaiful Achmad, the Head of Sabang Port Free Trade Agency (BPKS).
