JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Presiding judge Suprapto at the South Jakarta District Court decided on Monday (Aug. 10) to delay the trial of a pre-trial motion filed by infamous lawyer Otto Cornelis Kaligis against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Judge Suprapto delayed the trial due to the absence of KPK’s representatives in the Monday’s trial. The next trial is scheduled for next week.
As reported earlier, OC Kaligis filed a pre-trial motion to the South Jakarta District Court following KPK’s decision on naming him as suspect. OC Kaligis, through his lawyers, asked the court to cancel
said KPK’s decision.
Previously, KPK has named OC Kaligis as one of suspects in a bribery scandal implicating judges at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) of Medan and Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho.(haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
