JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Concrete producer PT Wijaya Karya (Wika) Beton Tbk (WTON) booked new contracts of Rp1.35 trillion in the first half of 2015, representing 35% of this year’s target of Rp4 trillion, Investor Daily reported this morning.

Most the government’s infrastructure projects are still on delay, then the company mostly depends on the private sector’s projects.

Contracts from private sectors increased to Rp1 trillion in the first half of this year, compared to Rp700 billion in the same period of last year.

WTON targets to produce 2.3 million tons per annum this year, from current production capacity of 2.2 million tons.

WTON booked net profit of Rp51.4 billion in the first half of 2015, dropped 69.8% from Rp169 billion in the corresponding period of 2014. Revenues declined 46.9% to Rp891 billion from previous Rp1.68 trillion.

Its assets reached Rp3.69 trillion while liability amounted Rp1.54 trillion. The company has cash and cash equivalent of Rp693 billion.
