JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 0.2% to 4880 at early trade this morning but profit taking emerged. Regional markets were mostly in red zone after recent gains.
Nymex’s crude oilfell 0.92% to US$50.39 per barrel in Asian trading this morning and gold declined 0.82% to US$1,094.50 per ounce.
AKR Corporindo gained 1.8%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 2.2%, Bank Negara Indonesia jumped 3.94%, Bank Mandiri hiked 2.25%, Bumi Resources lifted 1.89%, Lippo Karawaci surged 3.45%, Perusahaan Gas Negara climbed 1.66%, Timah gained 3.23%, and Telkom up 1.42%.
The stock marketresumes trading today after closing since Friday last week (July 17) for Eid or Lebaran. Trade surplus of US$480 million in June, controlled inflation, and improving current account deficit would support the market sentiment this week.
