JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Agung Laksono, Chairman of Golkar Party from the Jakarta Congress, admitted to the press regarding the talk between his side with Nasdem Party led by media mogul Surya Paloh to form a coalition ahead of the 2015 simultaneous regional elections.
Agung met Paloh at the Nasdem’s headquarters in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (July 15) afternoon. Agung was accompanied by his secretary general Zainuddin Amali.
The former Speaker of the 2004-2009 House of Representatives (DPR), moreover, revealed that his Golkar also opened the possibility to form a coalition with other members of the Great Indonesia ruling coalition (KIH) such as PDI-P, PKB, and Hanura.
Agung’s Golkar is now facing a legal battle in courts with Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie faction to claim for legitimation of Golkar’s
leadership.
Latest, Agung won the legal battle at the State High Administrative Court (PTTUN) of Jakarta as the court uphold the decision from Minister of Law & Human Rights Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly that legitimized Golkar’s new management structure under Agung’s leadership. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
