JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho has promised to fulfill the call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning session next week.
Gatot, a politician from the Muslim-based Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), earlier failed to answer KPKs first call.
The KPK has scheduled to examine Gatot on July 22, 2015, as a witness in bribery scandal of judges and clerk at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) of Medan.
The KPK earlier has also asked the Immigration office to ban Gatot and his wife from overseas travel.
KPK has named six suspects in this case. They are Head of the PTUN Medan Tripeni Irianto Putro, PTUN Medan’s Judge Amir Fauzi, Judge Dermawan Ginting, clerk Syamsir Yusfan, a lawyer at OC Kaligis Law Office M. Yagari “Gery” Bhastara, and OC Kaligis himself. The first five names were caught-in-the-act operation (OTT) in Medan, North Sumatra.
The KPK seized cash amounting to USD15,000 and SGD5,000 from the bribery transaction. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
