BANDA ACEH (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has arrived at the Iskandar Muda Airforce base in Blang Bintang, Banda Aceh, on Wednesday (July 15) evening to start his three days working visit in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, the most western province of the country.
President Jokowi is accompanied by the First Lady iriana and some ministers, among others, Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil and Minister of Agrarian, Spatial Planning and the Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Ferry Mursyidan Baldan.
President Jokowi and his entourage are scheduled to celebrate the Eid Al Fithr in Banda Aceh before visiting Aceh Barat and Meulaboh.
This is Jokowi’s third visit in Aceh. Previously, in March 2015, Jokowi also visited the province to kick off the groundbreaking of
some infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Rp1.7 trillion Krueng Keureuto Dam in North Aceh.
