JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Social security agency called BPJS Kesehatan booked net profit of Rp1.07 trillion in 2014 on revenues of Rp2.477 trillion. Its assets reached Rp10.73 trillion as of January 2015 while liability amounted Rp1.08 trillion.
BPJS Kesehatan operated in 2014, formerly known as PT Askes Persero (1992 – 2013). It reported 56% drop in short term investment to Rplast year and 8.8% decline in long term investment. But cash and cash equivalent jumped by sevenfold.
BPJS Kesehatan targets to cover up to 257.5 million people for health services and insurances by 2019, from 92 million services of coverage in 2014. BPJS Kesehatan allocated Rp43.65 trillion for its health services during 2014, 30-40% of which was spent for medicines.
