JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National motorcycles sales in June 2015 jumped 22% to 574,714 units, from 469,630 units in May 2015. Compared to June 2014, the sales dropped 24% from 753,789 units.
For January-June 2015 period, national motorcycles sales amounted 3.17 million units, fell 24% from 4.2 million units in the same period of 2014.
For this year, motorcycle sales is expected to reach 6.6-6.8 million units, down from 7.8 million units last year. Motorcyle sales declined in Sumatera and Kalimantan as the regions are facing earnings drop from commodities, crude palm oil and coal. While motorcycle sales in Java is relatively stagnant.
