JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened lower 0.48% at 4878 this morning while regional markets mostly gained.

Asian stocks climbed with metals and the Australian dollar as Chinese economic data came in ahead of estimates, Bloomberg reported. Traders also awaited Congressional testimony from U.S. Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.58% to US$53.35 per barrel in Asian trading this morning and gold inched up 0.09% to US$1,154.50 per ounce.

Astra Agro fell 1.97%, Astra International lost 1.46%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 1.9%, Bank Negara Indonesia shed 1.42%, and United Tractors slashed 1.81%.

While Adhi Karya gained 2.85% and Adaro Energy rose 1.71%.
