JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho has failed to answer the call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning session on Monday (July 13).

Gatot, a politician from the Muslim-based Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), is actually scheduled to be examined as a witness in a bribery case implicating 3 justices from the Medan Administrative Court (PTUN).

Similar to Gatot, KPK’s Spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha also revealed that famous lawyer OC Kaligis also failed to answer the KPK’s call for questioning yesterday. So therefore, Priharsa said that the KPK will reschedule the examination over Gatot and OC Kaligis.

As reported earlier, KPK has caught red-handed five people in a bribery transaction in Medan. They are M Yagari Bhastara Guntur aka Gerry (a lawyer at OC Kaligis law firm), Tripeni Irianto Putro (Head of the PTUN Medan), Amir Fauzi (judge at the PTUN Medan), Dermawan Ginting (judge at the PTUN Medan), and Syamsir Yusfan (a registrar at the PTUN Medan).

KPK also seized thousands of US dollar money from the transaction. Unfortunately, the KPK has not yet revealed the details of the case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
