JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri) has named two commissioners of the Judicial Commission (KY), Suparman Marzuki and Taufiqurahman Syahuri, as suspects in a defamation case over judge Sarpin Rizaldi.
The Chief of the Bareskrim Polri Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso, however, denied rumor and speculation saying the police’s decision to name the two KY’s commissioners as suspects is related to the KY’s recent decision on imposing 6 months of suspension to judge Sarpin.
Previously, judge Sarpin filed a police report on March 30 against Suparman Marzuki and Taufiqurahman Syahuri for defaming him.
Sarpin Rizaldi was a judge who handled a pre-trial petition from Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
