JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank Windu Kentjana International Tbk (MCOR) has on July 1, 2015 signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement to acquire 100% shares of PT Bank Antardaerah based in Surabaya, East Java.

The Financial Service Authority (OJK) earlier said China Construction Bank (CCB), the largest bank in China, intends to acquire Bank Windu and another one bank in Indonesia. CCB plans to merge the acquired banks.

As at March 2015, CCB’s assets reached CNY17.47 trillion. CCB also intends to invest in infrastructure projects in Indonesia. While Bank Windu’s assets reached Rp10.09 trillion as at March 2015 with total outstanding credit of Rp6.87 trillion. Its core capital is Rp1.12 trillion with CAR of 15.46%.

Current shareholders of Bank Windu are Johnny Wiraatmadja (66.61%), PT Mitra Wadah Kencana (9.4%), PT Blue Cross Indonesia (9.16%), and public investors (14.66%).
