JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) revealed on Wednesday (July 1) that June inflation was 0.54%, compared to 0.5% in May 2015.

Off 82 cities, 76 cities recorded inflation, highest occurred in Sorong (1.9%) and the lowest occurred in Palu (0.03%). Meanwhile 6 cities recorded deflation, highest in Tual (0.8%) and lowest in Pangkalpinang (0.14%).

The inflation in June 2015 was contributed by staple food (1.6%), processed food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco (0.55%), housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel (0.23%), clothing (0.28%), health (0.32%), education, recreation, and sport (0.07%), and transportation, communication, finance services (0.11%).

Year to date inflation was 0.96% while year on year inflation was 7.26%.
