JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened flat this morning, only inched up 0.06% at 4914, while regional markets mostly gained.
Astra Agro gained 1.85%, Eagle High Plantations jumped 3.16%, London Sumatra rose 1.61%, and Matahari Putra Prima hiked 3.2%. While AKR Corporindo lost 1.27%, Bumi Resources fell 1.67%, and Bank Danamon declined 1.28%.
Now investors and market players are watching the development on the Greece crisis after the country officially missed a roughly $1.7 billion loan repayment due to the International Monetary Fund. US President Barack Obama then warned Tuesday the unfolding Greek financial crisis could have a “significant effect” on European growth but said it would exert no “major shock” on the global system.
Today the Central Bureau of Statistic (BPS) also schedules to announce the inflation for June. Bank Indonesia predicts June inflation at below 1% though having pressures from food prices hike during Fasting month as the government helps boosting the food supply.
