JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The government plans to inject about Rp15 trillion to syariah banks owned by state banks next year as the government wants to consolidate syariah banks into one entity.
That syariah banks are PT Bank Syariah Mandiri, the largest syariah bank with capital of Rp4.72 trillion, PT BNI Syariah with core capital of Rp1.87 trillion, PT BRI Syariah with capital of Rp1.67 trillion, and syariah unit of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN).
The Financial Service Authority (OJK) targets to set up new entity, state-owned syariah bank by 2017.
