JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia’ export value reached US$12.56 billion in May 2015, down 4.1% from April 2015. Compared to May 2014, the figure fell 15.24%.

Non oil and gas export declined 3.87% to US$11.19 billion in May 2015 compared to previous month. The figure also declined 10.07% compared to May 2014 export.

For January-May 2015 period, Indonesia’s export declined 11.84% to US$64.72 billion. Non oil and gas export also fell 7.15% to US$56.19 billion.

Export non oil and gas to United States in May 2015 reached US$1.28 billion, followed by India US$1.15 billion, and Japan US$1.14 billion. Export to European Union totaled US$1.31 billion.

While Indonesia’s import value reached US$11.61 billion in May 2015, declined 8.05% from previous month. Compared to May 2014, the figure dropped 21.40%.

Import of non oil and gas reached US$9.53 billion, fell 7.39% from previous month. Compared to May 2014, the figure dropped 13.87%.

Indonesia then posted trade surplus of US$950 million in May 2015.
