JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National motorcycles sales in May 2015 dropped 35% to 482,691 units, from 743,030 units in May 2014. Compared to April 2015, the sales declined 10.4% from 583,746 units.
For January-May 2015 period, national motorcycles sales amounted 2.66 million units, fell 23% from 3.46 million units in the same period of 2014.
The economic slowdown affected the purchasing power of middle-low income consumers. The national motorcycles sales is expected to reach 6.8 million units this year, a 14% lower compared to 7.9 million units last year.
