JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Jakarta Prosecutor office (Kejati) is expected to re-examine Dahlan Iskan as a suspect in corruption case of the construction development project of the Java-Bali-West Nusa Tenggara electricity stations during his term as CEO of electricity company PLN in the period of 2011-2013.

The Kejati Jakarta has earlier examined Dahlan for eight hours last week. And a few days later, the Kejati named Dahlan as new suspect in the case.

The Kejati has also asked the Immigration office to ban the former Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE’s) from overseas travel.

Dahlan is the latest former minister of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) administration who has been dragged down by graft case. Four other SBY’s former ministers previously dragged by graft cases are Andi Alfian Mallarangeng, Jero Wacik, Suryadharma Ali, and Siti Fadilah Supari.

The construction of the Java-Bali-West Nusa Tenggara electricity stations itself has swallowed budget until more than Rp1 trillion. The State losses is estimated around Rp33.2 billion from this case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
