JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National car sales (wholesales) declined 2.7% to 79,383 units in May 2015, from 81,600 units in April 2015.
Last month, Toyota sold 23,223 units of car (29% market share), followed by Daihatsu 14,486 units (18.2%), and Honda 11,301 units (14.2%).
For January-May 2015 period, national car sales dropped 17% to 443,328 units, from 531,805 units in the same period of 2014.
The economic slowdown prompts consumers to buy no new cars.
