JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD), the largest taxi operator in the country, allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp1.5-2 trillion for this year, of which 50% capex will fund the fleet expansion.

Currently BIRD operates 31,900 units of fleet, consisting of regular taxi of 25,500 units, 1,300 units of executive taxi, 4,500 units of rental cars, and 600 units of rental buses.

BIRD will distribute dividend of Rp330.8 billion or Rp42.83 per share, for 2014 fiscal year, representing 45% of net profit (Rp735.11 billion).

BIRD booked net profit of Rp224.57 billion in the first quarter of 2015, flat compared to Rp220.43 billion in the same period of 2014. Revenues grew by 16.7% to Rp1.28 trillion from previous Rp1.09 trillion.

As at March 2015, Its assets reached Rp7.2 trillion while liability amounted Rp3.37 trillion. BIRD has cash and cash equivalent of Rp822.6 billion.
