JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim Polri) has questioned Amir Syamsuddin, former Minister of Law & Human Rights and Democratic Party politician, related to further investigation into the payment gateway system case, Kompas.com reported.
Director of the Bareskrim Polri’s Corruption Acts Brig. Gen. Ahmad Wiyagus said Amir has been questioned as a witness for Denny Indrayana, former Vice Minister of Law & Human Rights and a suspect in the case. This is the second examination session for Amir Syamsuddin.
As reported earlier, the Police has named Denny Indrayana as a graft suspect in this case. Denny has been charged with Article 2 paragraph 1, Article 3, and Article 23 of the Anti-Corruption Law juncto Article 421 and Article 55 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
Amir Syamsuddin and Denny Indrayana led the Ministry of Law & Human Rights from 2011 to 2014 under Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) administration. Amir is now listed as Chairman of Democratic Party Honorary Board. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
