JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim Polri) plans to summon Purnomo Yusgiantoro, former Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM), for questioning related to investigation into corruption case surrounding the supply of condensates to PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI).

The plan to question Purnomo was revealed by Director of Economy & Special Crimes at the Bareskrim Polri Brig. Gen. Victor E. Simanjuntak this morning, Kompas.com reported.

Victor said the Police will re-examine Evita Herawati Legowo, former Ministry of Energy’s Director General for Oil & Gas, next week (Jun. 5) before examining Purnomo.

As reported earlier, the Police has questioned Evita as a witness in the case on Wednesday.

Evita Herawati Legowo served as Oil & Gas DG from May 2008 to January 2013 under the administration of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). Evita served said position during the term of three Energy Ministers. They are Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Darwin Zahedy Saleh, and Jero Wacik. Purnomo, meanwhile, served as Energy Minister from 2004 to 2009. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
