JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (Arsip National Republik Indonesia or ANRI) has appointed Muhammad Prananda Prabowo, a PDI-P politician and the son of the fifth President Megawati Soekarnoputri, as their ambassador.

The Head of the ANRI Mustari Irawan, as quoted by Kompas.com, said Prananda has interest with the archives, especially related to the first President of the Republic Soekarno.

Born in April 23, 1970, Prananda aka Nanan is the second son of Megawati from her first marriage with the late Air Force First Lt. Surindro Supjarso. Nanan is also older brother of Puan Maharani, Megawati’s daughter from her marriage with the late Taufiq Kiemas.

Nanan now serves as the Head of PDI-P’s Creative Economy Department in the 2015-2019 PDI-P’s central executive board (DPP). In previous PDI-P’s management structure, the 45-year-old PDI-P politician served as the party’s Head of Control Room & Situation Analysis.

Nanan, among PDI-P’s cadres, is considered as one of strongest candidates for becoming Megawati’s heir in leading the PDI-P. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
