JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed flat, only inched up 0.04% at 5315 on Friday (May 22), while trade was very volatile. The index moved at range of 5299-5329 during the day trading.
Regional markets also closed in green with China’s SSE composite index gaining 2.83% and Hang Seng rose 1.7%.
Bank Central Asia gained 1.59%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 1.07%, Bank Danamon increased 1.28%, while Bank Rakyat Indonesia fell 1.18% and Bank Mandiri lost 1.72%.
Bumi Resources hiked 2.27%, Jasa Marga climbed 2.73%, London Sumatra lifted 1.83%, United Tractors gained 2,53%, and Unilever Indonesia rose 2.16%.
While Timah fell 2.75%, Indocement dropped 3.55%, Bumi Serpong Damai declined 1.52%, and Astra International lost 3.19%.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.35% to US$60.51 per barrel while gold rose 0.6% to US$1,211.40 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp13,136 against the US dollar.
