JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Indonesian Ambassador for Pakistan Burhan Muhammad passed away on early Tuesday (May. 19) morning at a hospital in Singapore.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi confirmed the report to the press this morning.

According to Minister Retno, Burhan Muhammad’s remains will be arrived in Jakarta today before being flown to Yogyakarta for the burial.

As reported earlier, a Pakistani military helicopter carrying Burhan, his wife Hery Listyawati and other foreign diplomats was crashed in the mountainous region of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, May. 8, 2015. The crash killed at least seven people, including Burhan’s wife.

Burhan, meanwhile, got serious burns and he was treated at a hospital in Singapore before passed away in this early morning at 01:50 am of local time or 00:50 am of Jakarta time. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
