BANDUNG (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo along with leaders from Asian and African nations recreated a walk taken by leaders of the two continents during the original conference in 1955 from the Savoy Homann hotel to the Merdeka Building in Bandung, West Java.
The leaders of Asian and African nations were such as China’s Xi Jinping, Iran’s Hassan Rouhani and Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe.
The historical walk from the Savoy Homann hotel to the Merdeka Building will officially close the 60th Asian-African Conference Commemoration.
In the Merdeka Building, Jokowi and leaders of Asian and African nations are set to sign the so-called Bandung Message. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
