JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Gondo Radityo Gambiro, a politician from Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) Democratic Party, for questioning on Thursday (Apr. 23) related to the haj graft case implicating Suryadharma Ali, former minister of Religious affairs.

During the period of 2009-2014, Gondo served as lawmaker at the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission VIII overseeing, among others, the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Suryadharma, who is also former chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), has been named as a graft suspect in the case since May. 22, 2014. He has been charged with Article 2 Paragraph 1 or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law juncto Article 65 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).
