JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.43% at 5437 on Wednesday (April 22), while regional markets closed mixed.

Japanese stocks rose for a second day, pushing the Nikkei 225 Stock Average above 20,000 for the first time in 15 years, Bloomberg reported.

Bank Danamon dropped 3.87%, Bank Negara Indonesia fell 1.05%, Bank Mandiri declined 1.03%, BW Plantation lost 3.34%, London Sumatra slashed 4.67%, and Vale Indonesia shed 4%.

Other losers were Bank Tabungan Negara (-2.12%), Gudang Garam (-1.62%), Adhi Karya (-2.23%), Media Nusantara (-2.4%), Multipolar (-1.74%), Japfa Comfeed (-3.65%), Bumi resources Minerals (-3.42%), and Berau Coal (-3.92%).

Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.06% to US$56.01 per barrel and gold declined 0.16% to US$1,201.20 per ounce. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp12,952 against the US dollar.
