JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Comr. Gen. Badrodin Haiti is expected to undergo a fit and proper test on Thursday (Apr. 16) at the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III as the nominee of the new National Police chief.
The Commission III has confirmed that Badrodin’s fit and proper test is scheduled this morning at around 10:00 am of Jakarta time.
Prior to conduct a fit and proper test over Badrodin, the Commission III has earlier asked the opinion from each the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Anti-Money Laundering Agency PPATK, and the National Police Commission (Kompolnas). The Commission III has also already visited Badrodin at his private residence yesterday.
Other than that, the Commission III will also hold a meeting to discuss the withdrawal of Budi Gunawan’s nomination.
Badrodin has been nominated as the new police chief by President Joko “jokowi” Widodo. President Jokowi, in his letter to the House of Representatives (DPR), decided to nominate Badrodin following public protest demanding the withdrawal of Budi Gunawan’s nomination.
The DPR should give their decisions on whether to accept or to reject Badrodin’s nomination before Apr. 20, 2015. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
