JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National car sales (wholesales) totaled 282,569 units in first quarter of this year, dropped 14% from 338,500 units in the same period of last year. While retail sales reached 257,830 units.

In March 2015, national car sales totaled 99,639 units (wholesales), higher than February 2015 (88,738 units). Toyota sold 85,762 units last month, Daihatsu 45,317 units, Honda 44,488 units, Suzuki 35,087 units, and Mitsubishi sold 32,797 units.

The Association of Indonesia Automotive Industry (Gaikindo) targets national car sales to reach 1.2 million units this year, stagnant compared last year.
