JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Agriculture Ministry will soon issue new regulation which requires foreign investment companies in seeds and horticulture to divest 70% ownership after the Constitutional Court rejected to material test on the regulation.

Agriculture Ministry and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) will formulate the investment procedures for seeds and horticulture by foreign investment companies.

The divestment could be made through some options such as the initial public offering (IPO) scheme, setting up the cooperative with farmers, or building a joint venture unit with local companies.
