JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 1.47% at 5518 on Tuesday (March 31). The rupiah was traded flat at Rp13,084 against the US dollar.

Astra International gained 2.39%, Bank Central Asia rose 2.24%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia increased 1.92%, Bank Negara Indonesia jumped 3.2%, Bank Mandiri surged 3.1%, Bumi Serpong Damai climbed 1.67%, and Lippo Karawaci hiked 3.45%.

Other gainers were Bank Tabungan Negara (+2.45%), Media Nusantara Citra (-2.14%), Wakita Karya (+1.71%), Wijaya Karya (+2.49%), Global Mediacom (+2.34%),

Nymex’s crude oil dropped 2.1% to US$47.66 per barrel and gold declined 0.42% to US$1,179.80 per ounce. Oil futures extended losses on Tuesday, as Iran and six world powers ramped up the pace of negotiations to reach a preliminary deal that could ease sanctions and allow more Iranian crude onto world markets, Reuters reported.
