JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Governor of South Sumatra Alex Noerdin, also politician from Golkar Party, failed to answer the call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning on Tuesday (Mar. 24).
Spokesperson of South Sumatra provincial administration M. Zaki Aslam argued that the Governor has never received the letter from the KPK regarding the questioning.
Zaki, moreover, said Alex Noerdin is currently on a working visit abroad to attending the Forum of High Level Round Table Bonn Challenge Implementing Restoration Partnership in Bonn, Germany.
As reported earlier, the KPK scheduled to question Alex Noerdin on Tuesday as a witness related to further investigation into a graft case of athlete dormitory project. Rizal Abdullah, former Head of South Sumatra’s Public Works office, is suspect in the case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
