JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri) has named Denny Indrayana, former Vice Minister of Law & Human Rights under Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) administration, as a graft suspect in a case related to the payment gateway system at the Law Ministry.
The National Police’s Spokesperson Sr. Comr. Rikwanto confirmed the legal status of Denny Indrayana on Tuesday (Mar. 24). According to RIkwanto, the Bareskrim Polri will summon Denny for questioning on Friday (Mar. 27).
The Bareskrim Polri has summoned Denny for questioning in early this month. The Bareskrim Polri earlier planned to charge Denny with Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law juncto Article 55 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
Other than Denny, the Bareskrim Polri has also questioned a dozen witnesses, including former Minister of Law & Human Rights Amir Syamsuddin, also Chairman of SBY’s Democratic Party Honorary Board.
Amir Syamsuddin and Denny Indrayana led the Ministry of Law & Human Rights from 2011 to 2014. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
