JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Shares of PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA), operator of Mitra Keluarga Hospital, jumped 20.7% on its trading debut this morning, to Rp20,525 per share at 9.39 am Jakarta time. Some 13.2 million shares were exchanged hands, with total trading value of Rp270.49 billion.
Mitra Keluarga becomes the fourth hospital operator listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) after Mayapada, Omni, and Siloam.
MIKA offers 261.9 million shares at Rp17,000 per share in the initial public offering (IPO) to raise Rp4.45 trillion, proceeds of which will be used to finance new hospital construction (56%), purchase of medical equipments & IT infrastructure (20%), land acquisition for hsopital (16%), and expansion of existing hospitals (8%).
In nine months of 2014, MIKA booked net profit of Rp405.6 billion from sales revenues of Rp1.47 trillion.
