JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has arrived in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday (Mar. 22) night for the first leg of a seven-day working trip to Japan and China.

In Japan, President Jokowi is scheduled to meet Emperor Akihito of Japan on Monday morning. The President will also conduct a bilateral meeting with Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the afternoon.

On Tuesday, Jokowi will meet Japanese businessmen. While he will attend an event organized by Toyota on Wednesday before flying to China.

During this seven-day working visit in Japan and China, Jokowi is accompanied by First Lady Iriana and several ministers.
The said ministers are Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Defense Ryamizard Ryacudu, Minister of Trade Rachmat Gobel, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE’s) Rini Soemarno, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto, Commander of the Military General Moeldoko, the Head of the Investment Coordination Board Franky Sibarani, acting Head of Presidential Secretariat Djarot Sri Suliatyo, Presidential Military Secretary Vice Admiral TriWahyudi Sukarno, and the Foreign Ministry’s Director General Ahmad Rusdi.
