JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.2% at 5443, closed flat as it cut earlier losses. It reached its lowest at 5423 today.

Asian stock markets closed mostly lower Friday after a slide in oil prices drove a Wall Street decline.

At Jakarta bourse, Aneka Tambang dropped 7.3%,  Adaro Energy fell 2.06%, Alam Sutera lost 1.69%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 1.15%, Telkom shed 1.02%, and Semen Indonesia dropped 4.17%. Matahari Putra Prima also dropped 8.39% and Garuda Indonesia lost 3.85%.

While Bumi Resources gained 1.14%, Lippo Karawaci jumped 3.31%, Waskita Karya rose 1.71%, and Hanson International gained 1.95%.

Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.61% to US$45.25 per barrel while gold inched up 0.07% to US$1,169.80 per ounce. The rupiah weakened again to Rp13,075 against the US dollar.
