JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Hadi Poernomo, graft suspect and former Chief of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), failed to answer the call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning on Thursday (Mar. 5).

Commenting to Hadi Poernomo’s absence, Hadi’s lawyer Yanuar Pribadi Wasesa said he was not informed about KPK’s summon for his client.

Hadi Poernomo was named as a graft suspect last year for his alleged role in a Bank Central Asia (BCA) tax case during his tenure as Director General of Taxation in 2002-2004 period.

KPK accused Hadi for violating Article 2 Paragraph 1 and or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law due to violating procedure in granting BCA’s tax objection.

KPK estimated state loses of Rp375 billion as a result of Hadi’s decision. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
